The ALMAZ brand was born in Milan, in 2014, after years of daydreaming about a new type of fashion, that would empower women to let the world see how tough they really are.

During the 3 years spent in Milan, while studying fashion design at Istituto Marangoni, Andra Olaru, a Romanian fashion designer, used every course assignment and every fashion project to shape and define her creative creed and to establish the design principles that would turn her life-long dream into reality. 

The first ALMAZ collection was featured in a Milan showroom. Being so well received in one of the top fashion capitals of the world was the confirmation the designer needed. Her designs succeeded to convey her creative vision both to the public and to the fashion experts.

In 2015, the founder felt that the women who needed to be empowered the most were the ones back home: the Romanians. She opened the ALMAZ Shop in Bucharest, complete with a tailoring workshop where the designer loves to experiment and see her newest and boldest creative ideas come to life, every day.

The business grew organically. Today, The ALMAZ brand philosophy is embraced in many different cultures, leaving its mark in some of the most prestigious fashion cities, all over the world.
